Housekeeping Assistant

About the Role

Inspired Villages is seeking a dependable and compassionate Housekeeping Assistant to join their team at a luxury retirement community in Exeter, England. The aim is to maintain pristine living spaces and communal areas, helping to foster a vibrant and welcoming environment for residents. This role involves delivering exceptional cleaning services with attention to detail and a warm, friendly demeanor.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean assigned areas thoroughly, maintaining tidy, hygienic, and inviting spaces.
• Perform housekeeping tasks within residents’ private homes with discretion and care.
• Ensure communal spaces are kept neat and well-presented at all times.
• Attend to floors through vacuuming, carpet shampooing, and furniture and wood polishing.
• Empty and reline waste bins while following proper disposal procedures.
• Clean accessible windows and glass surfaces.
• Handle laundry duties efficiently and uphold high standards.
• Comply with COSHH regulations and sustain a safe working environment at all times.

Candidate Requirements

• Prior experience as a Housekeeping Assistant, Housekeeper, or Cleaner.
• Self-driven, personable, and capable of effective communication with residents, staff, and visitors.
• Flexible and adaptable with a readiness to work varying shifts and adjust to priorities.
• Basic knowledge of infection control, COSHH, and compliance standards is preferred; however, comprehensive training will be provided.
