Role Overview
The Housekeeper/Laundry Assistant is a vital support role ensuring our village remains clean, comfortable, and dignified for residents. You will be the quiet champion working behind the scenes to maintain a homely, safe environment that residents and their families appreciate.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver thorough, high-standard cleaning of resident rooms, bathrooms, communal spaces, laundry, and kitchens.
- Handle laundering tasks including washing, carefully folding, and returning clothing and linens to residents.
- Label, repair, and take care of residents' personal laundry items with attention.
- Assist in infection control protocols and ensure all health and safety standards are followed.
- Establish warm, respectful connections with residents, understanding and responding to their individual needs.
Working Hours
This is a full-time position operating on a roster of four days on, two days off, from 7am to 3pm.
Candidate Profile
- Experience in housekeeping, especially in healthcare or hospitality, is preferred.
- A strong eye for detail and pride in cleanliness are essential.
- Physical fitness and the ability to be on your feet throughout shifts is required.
- An enthusiasm or genuine interest in aged care is valued; comprehensive training will be provided.
