Role Overview

As a Caregiver at the Nelson Village, you will be integral to a team focused on cultivating a secure, healthy, and rewarding environment for residents. This varied position emphasizes supporting personal care and daily activities, enhancing residents' quality of life.

Key Duties

• Providing assistance during mealtimes, including meal delivery
• Supporting hygiene routines such as assisting with showers
• Helping residents with prescribed activities like walks and exercises according to individual care plans
• Engaging residents with recreational activities including puzzles and table tennis

Candidate Profile and Qualifications

You should naturally embody empathy, kindness, and patience, thriving in a compassionate role that significantly impacts lives. Experience in aged care or similar fields is essential, along with strong verbal communication skills to establish enduring relationships. Commitment to a rotating roster covering morning, afternoon, and night shifts is necessary, working on a cycle of five days on followed by two days off with flexibility from Monday through Sunday.

Additional Information

• Employment is permanent and part-time, totaling 20 hours weekly on a rotating schedule
• Additional penal rates apply for weekend work
