About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Housekeeper for Birkin Lodge Nursing Home in Tunbridge Wells, part of the esteemed Country Court family. This position involves working 40 hours weekly, including weekends on a rotational basis. The nursing home is conveniently located just 10 minutes from the train station, offering a supportive and compassionate environment for residents.
Role Overview
The Housekeeper plays a vital role in maintaining an immaculate and hygienic living space for residents. Responsibilities include thorough cleaning of resident rooms, meticulous attention to detail to ensure no surface is overlooked, and managing residents’ personal clothing and bedding by washing, pressing, and folding them to high standards. The position is integral in creating a safe and welcoming atmosphere for those living in the home.
Candidate Profile
We are looking for a proactive, passionate, and motivated individual who can contribute to a person-centered environment. While prior experience as a housekeeper or laundry assistant is preferred, it is not mandatory. The ideal candidate will exhibit exceptional attention to detail, demonstrate a friendly and caring demeanor, engage well with residents and their families, and have some understanding or knowledge of the care sector.
