Key Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning and upkeep of corridors and public spaces following established housekeeping standards and safety regulations to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Inspect assigned floors at both the start and end of each shift; remove newspapers, service trays, and empty trash bins.
- Collect trash and linens, and identify any areas requiring immediate cleaning attention.
- Clean all public areas including hallways, elevators, service zones, stairwells, adhering to prescribed safety and security procedures.
- Transport soiled linen, terry cloths, and garbage from service areas to designated locations appropriately.
- Assist section housekeepers with tasks such as managing bed boards and roll-ways.
- Maintain linen and supply closets by stocking to ensure adequate inventory levels.
- Report any missing or found items, damages, or merchandise concerns to senior housekeeping staff or supervisors.
- Address guest inquiries and requests courteously and promptly, escalating complaints or issues to ensure guest satisfaction.
Education and Experience Requirements
No formal education or prior experience is necessary for this position.

- Ability to maintain a professional appearance consistent with standards.
- Effective communication skills to interact with guests, housekeepers, linen room attendants, and supervisors.
- Capacity to evaluate situations and respond suitably to meet company standards.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to push a vacuum throughout hallways and carry supplies, dirty linens, and dishes to various areas.
- Willingness to bend and kneel for tasks such as dusting and retrieving items placed low on the floor.
- Mobility to reach and clean all assigned areas, including shelves, windows, ledges, pipes, and under furniture.
- Capable of standing and walking continuously during shifts to complete responsibilities.
- Comfortable climbing stairs regularly, approximately 15% of a 40-hour workweek, including about 40 steps.
