Hourly Full-Time Merchandiser

Overview

Become part of a locally owned Shoppers Drug Mart store team dedicated to providing health, beauty, and convenience products to the community while maintaining a customer-first approach.

Key Responsibilities

• Organize backroom inventory following Backroom Inventory Management (BIMI) procedures.
• Utilize PDT and MMS systems daily to execute tasks efficiently.
• Manage product return processes as instructed, adhering to exit strategies.
• Demonstrate expertise in product inventory, placement, and monitoring of expiry dates within assigned areas.
• Maintain store standards to uphold the image and trends of the store environment.
• Ensure product displays are attractive, consumer-focused, and easy to shop.
• Receive merchandise according to established receiving policies and keep the backroom neat and organized.
• Complete all necessary documentation for receiving and returning goods.
• Support Front Store Management in maintaining quality and store standards.
• Represent a clean and professional image consistent with uniform and dress code policies.
• Proactively acknowledge and assist customers on the sales floor.
• Adhere strictly to all health, safety, store standards, and loss prevention policies.
• Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications and Skills

• Strong planning, decision-making, and judgement capabilities.
• Organized with attention to detail and able to maintain accurate records.
• Ability to adapt to changing conditions on the sales floor.
• If handling cash, must demonstrate accuracy and efficiency in customer transactions.
• Basic computer and cash register proficiency.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

• Flexible availability to work various shifts, including nights and weekends.
• Capacity to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Comfortable climbing ladders when necessary.
