Hourly Full-Time Merchandiser

About the Role

This position is based at 28 Stavanger Drive, St. John's, NL A1A 5E8. Join a locally owned Shoppers Drug Mart to provide health, beauty, and convenience services to your community, prioritizing excellent customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Organize backroom stock following Backroom Inventory Management (BIMI) guidelines.
• Utilize PDT and MMS systems for daily inventory and merchandising tasks.
• Manage product exit strategies and returns as directed.
• Demonstrate expertise in inventory accuracy, product placement, and monitoring expiry dates in assigned product categories.
• Maintain store appearance and align with current image and trend standards.
• Create product displays that are consumer-focused and easy to shop.
• Receive incoming merchandise adhering to company receiving policies and procedures.
• Keep backroom areas neat and organized based on established principles.
• Ensure all required paperwork for receiving and returning goods is completed accurately.
• Assist Front Store Manager and Assistant Manager in upholding quality and store standards.
• Present a clean and professional image adhering to uniform and dress code policies.
• Proactively greet and assist customers on the sales floor.
• Follow all health and safety regulations, store standards, and loss prevention policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

• Strong planning, judgment, and decision-making skills.
• Efficient, organized, and detail-oriented work habits.
• Able to adapt to dynamic sales floor conditions.
• If cash handling is involved, capable of accurately processing customer transactions.
• Familiar with basic computer and cash register operations.
• Good record-keeping ability.
• Capable of working independently and self-motivated.

Physical and Working Conditions

• Must be available for flexible shifts including nights and weekends.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and climb ladders.

Compensation

Hourly wage ranges from $16.35 to $17.95 depending on experience and location. This position is a current vacancy.
