Hotel Cleanliness Supervisor

Overview

The Hotel Cleanliness Supervisor plays a key role in ensuring all guest rooms, public spaces, and facilities such as the pool meet the established quality standards after housekeeping services. This position involves managing daily cleaning activities, coordinating between housekeeping, engineering, front desk, and laundry departments, and maintaining accurate records of room status and availability.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and pool zones post-cleaning to verify quality standards.
• Prepare and update reports on room availability and condition, resolve discrepancies, and prioritize room cleaning workflows.
• Serve as a liaison coordinating efforts among housekeeping, engineering, front desk, and laundry teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Document and address issues related to room discrepancies in collaboration with the front desk.
• Communicate updates related to work assignments and shift changes clearly to all relevant staff.
• Assist management in recruitment, training, scheduling, performance evaluation, counseling, discipline, motivation, and coaching of housekeeping staff.
• Comply with all company safety policies and procedures, report any maintenance, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries, and complete required safety training and certifications.
• Maintain professional appearance and uniform standards at all times.
• Safeguard confidential company information and protect company property.
• Support coworkers collaboratively and respectfully to achieve team goals.
• Demonstrate the physical capabilities necessary for the role, including moving, lifting (up to 24.75 kg independently or more with assistance), maneuvering carts and equipment on uneven surfaces, and working in various positions such as standing, walking, bending, and climbing for extended periods.
• Effectively communicate in a clear and professional manner.
• Perform additional reasonable job duties assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum education: High school diploma or equivalent General Educational Development (GED) certificate.
• At least one year of relevant work experience in a related field.
• Minimum one year of supervisory experience preferred.
