Position Overview

Join Marriott International as a Host/Hostess in Lagos, Nigeria, where you'll play a pivotal role in providing exceptional hospitality within our dining establishments. This full-time, non-management role requires hospitality enthusiasm and attention to detail to help create a welcoming environment for all guests.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome visitors warmly and ascertain the size of their party.
• Escort guests to available, clean tables, ensuring seating arrangements accommodate any special needs.
• Set tables properly with napkins, clean silverware, and up-to-date menus free from wrinkles or damage.
• Maintain dining area cleanliness throughout shifts using clean-as-you-go principles.
• Monitor dining room occupancy, guest service quality, and overall safety.
• Assist with moving and arranging furniture as needed to optimize seating spaces.
• Communicate professionally with guests and colleagues, including telephone etiquette.
• Adhere strictly to company safety and security protocols, reporting any hazards or incidents to management.
• Maintain a neat and professional personal appearance.
• Support team objectives through cooperative interaction and appropriate responses to staff concerns.
• Perform additional reasonable duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Preferences

• Minimum educational requirement: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• No prior related work or supervisory experience necessary.
• No licenses or certifications required.
