Role Overview
As a Host or Hostess, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming atmosphere at the restaurant. Your primary responsibility will be to warmly greet guests arriving and leaving, assist them in seating, and efficiently manage the flow of guests to ensure a positive experience from start to finish.
Key Duties
- Opening doors for guests entering and exiting the restaurant (40%).
- Providing accommodations for guests with special needs such as boosters, highchairs, or disabilities (35%).
- Handling the waitlist during busy times (10%).
- Offering assistance to servers as required (5%).
- Keeping the workspace clean and organized, completing assigned cleaning tasks (5%).
- Updating the feature board and inflating balloons as needed (5%).
Qualifications
- A caring nature coupled with eagerness to learn and grow.
- A consistently positive attitude.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate verbally.
- Physical stamina to be mobile throughout the entire shift.
- Capability to carry and transport objects such as high chairs weighing up to 15 pounds multiple times per shift.
- Perform cleaning tasks including wiping table tops, table legs, booth seats, and picking up debris from the floor throughout the restaurant.
Physical Requirements
This role demands physical activity such as navigating the restaurant space, communicating face-to-face with guests, moving or grasping items up to 5 pounds regularly, occasionally lifting or moving items up to 25 pounds, and bending or stooping. Clear vision is necessary to maintain cleanliness and operate touchscreen devices. Reasonable accommodations will be provided for individuals with disabilities.
Employment Conditions
