About the Opportunity

JW Marriott Marquis Hotel Dubai, located in the vibrant downtown district, is seeking a dedicated Hostess to join the All Day Dining Kitchen Six team. This prominent 5-star hotel features two towers with 1608 rooms, offering spectacular views of Dubai's cityscape and water. Guests enjoy amenities such as an outdoor pool, fitness center, spa, and a selection of international cuisine at 10 restaurants and lounges. The hotel is conveniently near attractions including Dubai Mall, Burj Khalifa, and Dubai Opera.

Role Overview

The Hostess will be at the forefront of guest interaction, welcoming visitors as they arrive, determining party sizes, and guiding them to appropriate seating. Responsibilities include ensuring tables and place settings are clean and properly arranged, updating menus, and maintaining cleanliness throughout the dining areas. The role requires monitoring dining room availability, guest safety, and service quality, as well as providing assistance to guests as needed.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests upon arrival and ascertain party size.
• Escort guests to clean and available tables, arranging chairs and menus suitably.
• Facilitate seating arrangements for special groups, adjusting tables and settings accordingly.
• Ensure each place setting is complete with napkins, clean cutlery, and other standard items.
• Regularly check menus for cleanliness, accuracy, and availability.
• Maintain the tidiness of work areas throughout the shift using clean-as-you-go practices.
• Keep watch over dining room seating, guest service standards, and safety protocols.
• Adhere strictly to all company rules, safety policies, and security procedures; report any accidents or unsafe conditions promptly.
• Maintain a professional appearance and confidentiality, safeguarding company assets.
• Communicate clearly and courteously with guests and colleagues; answer telephone calls appropriately.
• Develop positive relationships with team members, support common goals, and address concerns professionally.
• Comply with quality standards and expectations consistently.
• Be prepared to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods during shifts.
