Role Overview
The Hire Controller, based at our Liverpool depot, plays a crucial role in operations by acting as the primary liaison in the sales and customer service process. You'll be responsible for managing the entire hire cycle—from order placement to delivery and collection—coordinating with different depot departments to meet customer requirements and guarantee satisfaction.
Daily Responsibilities
- Maintain a desk-based role overseeing the hire process with frequent communication across departments, including stock teams, drivers, and engineers.
- Ensure equipment availability and minimal delays during the hire fulfillment process.
Candidate Requirements
- Excellent organizational capabilities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment.
- A dedication to continuous learning and professional growth.
- A valid driving license.
- Previous experience in the hire industry or a similar sales or operational position.
- Ability to support and contribute to the business unit's commitment to Speedy's ESG Strategy – Decade to Deliver.
Working Hours and Compensation
The role is Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM, totaling 42 hours per week. The salary is £29,572 annually, pro-rated.
