Job Overview

The Helper role involves assembling small product components through highly repetitive routine tasks typically performed at a workstation or conveyor line. Duties include applying decals to railcars, preparing interior tank surfaces for coatings, masking surfaces for painting, assisting with paint application in tanks, and general cleaning activities. Helpers may use basic hand tools, perform minor equipment adjustments, and maintain work area cleanliness. This position usually requires 0-2 years of experience and works closely under supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Apply decals accurately onto railcars and prepare interiors of tanks and hopper cars for coating applications.
• Mask areas external to tanks for painting and assist in holding paint lines during coating application inside tanks.
• Perform general housekeeping tasks such as cleaning floors and moving assemblies or machines.
• Utilize hand tools to complete manual repetitive tasks safely and effectively.
• Maintain a clean, organized work environment and adhere strictly to health and safety standards including proper use of personal protective equipment.

Job Requirements

• Legal authorization to work in Canada.
• Proficiency in English for reading, writing, speaking, and understanding communication.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license to commute to work.
• Compliance with Procor’s health and safety policies, including Responsible Care standards.
• Ability to work comfortably at heights, in confined spaces, near loud machinery, and amid fumes.
• Strong teamwork skills and capability to work independently.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to complete tasks promptly while ensuring quality and accuracy.
