Role Overview

The Building Cleaner will be stationed full-time on site in Dubai, UAE, responsible for ensuring cleanliness and sanitation across common spaces, offices, restrooms, and other designated areas. Core duties include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and waste removal. The role demands careful and safe use of cleaning agents, tools, and equipment while adhering to health, safety, and sanitation protocols. Regular checks of allocated zones, timely reporting of any maintenance or safety concerns, and coordination with team members and supervisors are essential tasks. Flexibility to work in different shifts and respond to urgent cleaning needs may be necessary.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness in assigned areas through sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and proper waste management.
• Utilize cleaning tools and chemicals safely, complying with health and safety regulations.
• Conduct routine inspections of work areas to identify and report maintenance or safety issues.
• Collaborate with supervisors and colleagues to uphold orderly and hygienic environments.
• Adapt to shift work and provide timely responses to urgent cleaning requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Competency in standard cleaning operations, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and waste collection, with an eye for detail.
• Understanding of safe handling procedures for cleaning chemicals, tools, and equipment in line with safety standards.
• Basic knowledge of hygiene standards, sanitation methods, and proper waste disposal.
• Effective time management and organizational skills to fulfill tasks reliably and efficiently.
• Capability to follow instructions accurately and communicate effectively within a team environment.
• Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and lift moderate loads for prolonged periods, abiding by occupational health guidelines.
• Previous experience in building or facility cleaning is advantageous; exposure to commercial or residential maintenance preferred.
• Readiness to work scheduled shifts, demonstrating reliability, punctuality, and professionalism.
