Health & Safety Manager - Quick Commerce

As our third-party quick commerce operations grow in a complex setting, we seek an experienced Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) Manager to oversee the 3P WHS team. This role involves managing safety across a multifaceted supply chain spanning indoor facilities and on-road activities, driving safety standards, leading awareness initiatives, ensuring compliance, and cultivating a robust safety culture through audits, metrics, and process guidance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct frequent site inspections at dark stores to assess safety in a fast-moving, high-volume environment, recommending actionable improvements.
• Execute risk assessments and safety audits for both indoor operations and on-road rider activities, ensuring adherence to relevant regulations.
• Analyze safety data and report metrics to identify trends and high-risk areas in quick-commerce workflows.
• Create and implement safety controls and mitigation tailored to warehouse layouts, picking processes, and delivery dispatch operations.
• Ensure full compliance with Amazon's supply chain, WHS, third-party policies, and local regulations across multiple countries.
• Lead regular safety meetings and briefings with operations and partners to reinforce safety standards in a fast-paced setting.
• Manage investigations of accidents, near misses, and serious incidents, focusing on root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Support and verify safety training for associates, riders, and third-party partners through audits and direct engagement.
• Represent quick-commerce safety issues in regional and cross-functional WHS discussions.
• Drive continuous WHS improvement projects at country or regional levels, extending beyond immediate responsibilities.
• Lead and develop the WHS team by recruiting, coaching, and providing guidance.

About Quick Commerce Team

• Quick Commerce, branded Amazon Now, provides ultra-fast delivery within 30 minutes of order placement.
• Focuses on essentials such as groceries, perishables, and household goods.
• Operates via strategically located micro-fulfillment centers using diverse transport modes including motorbikes, e-bikes, and walkers.
• Currently serving UAE, KSA, and Egypt with plans to expand to TR and ZA.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in WHS or environmental roles within manufacturing, production, or service contexts.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office including pivot tables, charts, and graphics development.
• Certified in health and safety through NEBOSH National General Certificate, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience applying lean principles and advancing process improvements in operational environments.
• Work experience in dynamic and fast-paced organizations.
• Expertise managing safety in both facility-based and on-road contexts.
