Position Overview
At Sheraton Hotels & Resorts, the Head Waiter role extends beyond simply serving food and beverages. The focus is to create an unforgettable dining experience for guests by delivering attentive service and ensuring their comfort throughout their meal. The role encompasses setting up tables, coordinating with kitchen staff, engaging with guests, serving food and drinks, and maintaining clean and organized workspaces.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide proactive guest service to ensure a memorable dining experience.
- Set up tables according to company standards and manage guest interactions professionally.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen and team members to coordinate order accuracy and service timing.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and supplies.
- Adhere to company policies regarding workplace safety and quality standards at all times.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Frequently stand, sit, and walk for extended periods, including navigating uneven or slippery surfaces.
- Handle physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling objects up to 25 pounds unassisted and up to 50 pounds with help.
- Perform movements involving bending, twisting, stooping, and reaching both overhead and below the knees.
Preferred Qualifications
- Educational attainment of high school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
- Less than one year of related work experience preferred.
- No prior supervisory experience required.
- No licenses or certifications required.
