This role operates under non-management status, emphasizing guest engagement and safety within various leisure facilities.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide detailed information to guests regarding recreational amenities such as swimming pools, beach access, game rooms, fitness areas, and child activity centers.
• Motivate guests to join in recreational programs, handling recruitment, registration, and scheduling activities for diverse participants.
• Ensure a lively and welcoming atmosphere that enhances guest relaxation and enjoyment throughout the recreational venues.
• Enforce guidelines and safety policies governing recreational facilities to protect guests and staff.
• Monitor activity areas attentively and react suitably to emergencies according to established local procedures.
• Operate cashier functions during transactions related to recreational services and retail sales.
• Support the coordination and hosting of private group events and functions held within recreation spaces.
• Identify situations where guests may be unable to safely engage in activities, escalating concerns to the management team.
• Provide initial assistance to injured individuals until professional emergency medical services arrive.
• Maintain cleanliness and order of recreational areas, equipment, and supplies to ensure a pleasant environment.
• Report any accidents, unsafe conditions, or injuries promptly to management and complete the necessary safety-related training and certifications.
• Adhere to company policies, uphold professional appearance standards, and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Deliver warm welcomes and acknowledgments following company protocols, anticipating and addressing guest service requirements, including accommodating disabilities.
• Use clear communication and telephone etiquette in all guest and team interactions.
• Foster collaborative relationships with coworkers to achieve shared objectives and excellent guest experiences.
• Process payments for equipment rentals, recreational activities, facility uses, and merchandise sales accurately using computer and POS systems.
• Comply with quality assurance standards and expectations, ensuring equipment inspections and information verification are conducted diligently.
• Perform physical tasks such as walking, standing, lifting objects weighing up to and beyond 25 pounds (with assistance), maneuvering in confined spaces, and using fine motor skills for equipment handling.
• Carry out other reasonable job functions as required by management.

Qualifications

• Minimum educational requirement: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• No prior related work or supervisory experience required, making this role accessible to entry-level candidates.
• Mandatory certifications include CPR and First Aid, as well as any recreation equipment or local/state-mandated certifications.
