About the Role

The Head of Product for the Coding Track will spearhead the development and enhancement of coding agents that improve game engineers' workflows across Virtuos studios. Reporting directly to the Chief AI Officer, you will direct the product vision, prioritize roadmap items, and lead a team of developers and a Project Manager to create impactful tools that raise code quality and developer productivity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and own the vision, roadmap, and backlog for coding agents with clear priorities and acceptance criteria.
  • Engage directly with studio developers and technical leads to understand their workflows, identify unmet needs, and validate solutions through real development tasks.
  • Prioritize initiatives based on user value, feasibility, dependencies, and evidence gathered to decide what to develop, improve, or discontinue.
  • Create a cohesive developer experience that integrates onboarding, implementation, review, testing, and maintenance by blending Virtuos' agents and third-party tools.
  • Continuously evaluate whether to build, integrate, or adopt new tools, staying abreast of AI advancements relevant to coding agents through experimentation.
  • Collaborate with studio and platform teams to facilitate integrations, onboarding, and training, adhering to client IP, security, and approved tool policies.
  • Lead projects from discovery and prototyping through studio pilots and full production, managing delivery plans, dependencies, and risks with the Project Manager.
  • Assess agent outputs against codebases and quality standards ensuring correctness, maintainability, and appropriate human review.
  • Track adoption, developer satisfaction, and engineering metrics like code quality and time efficiency to refine the product roadmap.
  • Manage, mentor, and hold accountable the development team and Project Manager, setting goals and fostering growth.
  • Align priorities across studios and AI teams, resolve conflicts, and communicate clearly with the CAIO and stakeholders about progress, risks, and decisions.

Qualifications

  • Extensive hands-on experience in game development engineering with deep knowledge of production codebases, workflows, and challenges.
  • Strong enthusiasm for AI technologies, with proven applied experience enhancing development workflows and evaluating output quality.
  • In-depth understanding of AI technologies relevant to coding, including large language models, agent workflows, retrieval methods, and evaluation, with commitment to staying updated through practical experimentation.
  • Exceptional user-centered product insight: ability to identify underlying developer needs, validate features, and translate feedback into clear requirements.
  • Outcome-focused decision-making: capability to balance competing priorities, make strategic trade-offs, and measure product impact on user work.
  • Proven leadership in technical teams, nurturing talent, and delivering widely used software/tools. Strong credibility with engineers on technical matters.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to explain complex concepts, build trust, and align diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong ownership mentality with product management skills and a track record of seeing initiatives through from concept to adoption.
