Role Overview

We are seeking a Hardware Electronics Engineer II at our Cork, Ireland facility. In this role, you will engage directly in hands-on engineering tasks spanning applied research, design, development, testing, manufacturing support, and documentation of electronic systems and products. You will work on defined projects, utilizing sound engineering judgment to address moderately complex technical challenges and collaborate with customers and cross-functional teams to meet technical requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, and support hardware systems and subsystems to satisfy performance, cost, schedule, and quality criteria.
• Troubleshoot and resolve moderate issues related to design functionality, field reliability, manufacturing processes, and test results, implementing corrective measures as needed.
• Lead significant segments of assigned projects including technical documentation and project administration.
• Employ analytical and experimental methods to validate design concepts and solutions.
• Communicate and collaborate with customers and internal groups to translate requirements into practical technical designs.
• Adhere to established engineering standards, procedures, including the Product Development Process and Engineering Change Orders (ECO).

Work Environment

• Onsite work in Cork facility with standard office and lab environments.
• Participation in domestic and international travel up to around 10%.
• Ongoing interaction with internal and external stakeholders across various departments.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering or related field; advanced degrees (Master’s or PhD) in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or related disciplines are highly preferred.
• At least 3 years of experience in electronic design and development, ideally in medical device or other reliability-critical sectors.

• Effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Experience in influencing technical decisions and managing complex technical discussions.
