Key Responsibilities
- Performing various small to medium maintenance and repair tasks on both residential and commercial properties, with jobs lasting from a few hours up to two days
- Engaging with customers to clarify job requirements, set realistic expectations concerning scope and cost
- Delivering excellent customer experiences to foster long-term client relationships by consistently following the established "Mr. Handyman Way" process
- Operating independently for most tasks and self-managing daily activities
- Handling payment transactions directly with customers
- Utilizing personal tools and adopting necessary technology for documentation and communication
- Adhering to safety protocols by wearing recommended personal protective equipment and booties to protect clients’ homes
Candidate Requirements
- Residency within the local area
- Minimum of eight years experience working professionally as a handyman
- Possession of own hand tools
- Valid insurability for driving company vehicles
- Capability to independently lift at least 50 pounds
- Ability to work safely at heights and perform overhead tasks for extended durations
- Maintaining a professional appearance and proper upkeep of the company van assigned
Technical Skills
- Strong expertise in at least three of the following areas: carpentry, bathroom renovations, kitchen remodeling, interior and exterior painting, drywall repairs (minor and major), general plumbing and electrical work as permitted by law, flooring installation and refinishing, knowledge of building codes
