Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and commercially minded Group Manager Procurement to lead the procurement function for SkyCity New Zealand. Based in Auckland, this senior leadership role reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer and plays a vital part in delivering sustainable value, mitigating risks, and enabling superior business performance across our diverse operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership in procurement governance, category management, supplier relationship management, and sourcing initiatives.
• Collaborate closely with senior leaders to ensure procurement strategies are aligned with organisational goals and deliver strong commercial results.
• Manage procurement expenditures across all New Zealand operations.
• Lead and develop a high-performing procurement team focused on value creation, supplier innovation, and continuous improvement.

Candidate Profile

• Extensive senior experience in procurement, commercial roles, or supply chain leadership.
• Proven track record in strategic sourcing, leading supplier negotiations, and handling complex commercial agreements.
• Strong financial acumen, analytical skills, and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Experience designing procurement strategies, operational models, and governance frameworks.
• A passion for fostering high-performing teams and endorsing a culture of continuous enhancement.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications; professional certifications such as MCIPS or CIPS are highly regarded.
