About the Role
This senior finance position at Group level offers an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned FP&A leader with a solid accounting background and comprehensive understanding of the interconnections between Profit & Loss, balance sheet, and cash flow statements. Partnering with senior leadership, the role involves delivering crucial financial insights and analyses that underpin strategic planning, capital deployment, investment choices, and long-term value creation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Group-wide planning, forecasting, and performance reporting covering P&L, balance sheet, and cash flows.
- Create and maintain detailed three-way financial models to support strategic planning, scenario evaluation, and investment decision-making.
- Analyze drivers of working capital, liquidity, and net debt to optimize cash flow and balance sheet efficiency.
- Provide actionable financial insights and recommendations for reporting to the Executive team, Board, and Investment Committee.
- Assess capital expenditure proposals, business cases, and strategic initiatives critically.
- Collaborate with Total Tools Hardware Group and corporate leaders to deliver commercial outcomes and facilitate informed management decisions.
- Drive continuous enhancements in FP&A processes, systems, and financial reporting.
- Contribute to strategic activities including mergers and acquisitions, due diligence processes, and business transformation efforts.
Candidate Profile
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) with broad experience across FP&A, corporate finance, financial accounting, and management reporting.
- Strong foundational accounting knowledge with deep insight into the interplay of P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow impacting business results.
- Advanced proficiency in three-way financial modeling including forecasting, sensitivity analysis, and scenario planning.
- Proven capability in analyzing working capital, cash conversion cycles, liquidity positions, and net debt metrics.
- Excellent commercial insight with the ability to convert financial information into impactful business recommendations.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with a history of influencing senior leaders using data-backed arguments.
- Experience in evaluating capital allocation, scrutinizing investment opportunities, and reviewing business cases.
- High-level Excel expertise; familiarity with TM1 and Power BI is considered advantageous.
