Role Overview
We are currently seeking an experienced Group Broking Manager based in Wanaka, New Zealand, to join our leadership team due to an internal transfer. This is a senior managerial role requiring strong leadership capabilities to oversee, coach, and motivate a team of brokers and broker associates. You will report directly to the Regional Manager and contribute strategically to branch growth and culture, while managing stakeholder relationships internally and externally in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain outstanding client relationships to enhance customer experience.
- Drive portfolio growth by nurturing existing clients and securing new business opportunities.
- Collaborate on business strategy and planning aligned with market trends, regulations, and operational needs.
- Set and monitor retention and profitability goals for yourself and the team, surpassing performance targets.
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and motivation to team members to support business success.
Required Skills and Experience
- Demonstrated skill in coaching teams and managing their performance effectively.
- Experience managing complex client accounts and successfully generating new business.
- Strong negotiation skills with an ability to innovate and adapt flexibly.
- Adept at explaining sophisticated concepts clearly and offering actionable recommendations.
- Proven history of presenting to and developing relationships with key decision-makers.
- Exceptional commercial awareness with a sound understanding of the financial services sector.
- Compliance with FSLAA requirements, including holding a NZQA Level 5 Certificate in Financial Services.
