Key Responsibilities

• Build trust and respect among team members through a positive attitude.
• Create a welcoming atmosphere by addressing customer inquiries about departmental and store products.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of department products to effectively assist customers and provide recommendations.
• Offer product samples to introduce customers to new or requested items.
• Communicate current grocery promotions to customers.
• Deliver fresh products customers have ordered, ensuring quality and correct labeling.
• Monitor product freshness by checking quality and sell-by dates, taking necessary actions.
• Manage stocking, labeling, and inventory of department items.
• Report any discrepancies in product ordering or shipping to the department manager promptly.
• Stay informed about current, upcoming, seasonal, and special advertisements.
• Adhere strictly to all food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Ensure cases and coolers maintain proper temperatures with accurate temperature logs.
• Support safety programs by following procedures, identifying hazards, and notifying management.
• Perform preventive maintenance inspections on equipment and report repair needs.
• Report any accidents involving customers or employees to management.
• Immediately notify management of safety issues or illegal activities such as theft, robbery, or fraud.
• Perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Capable of managing stressful situations effectively.
• Good communication abilities.
• Basic math skills including counting, addition, and subtraction.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous retail experience is advantageous.
• Proficiency in a second language, including speaking, reading, or writing, is beneficial.
