Maintenance Coordinator

About the Role

We are seeking a proactive Maintenance Coordinator to join our Operational Services team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This role involves overseeing preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities to ensure equipment reliability and maximize uptime. You will play a crucial role in coordinating maintenance operations while adhering to safety, environmental, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and quality regulations.
• Coordinate various maintenance activities, including preventive, predictive, and corrective tasks.
• Maintain optimal equipment uptime and production line efficiency.
• Plan maintenance schedules and allocate necessary resources effectively.
• Manage maintenance budgets and optimize inventory of spare parts.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and plant reliability initiatives.
• Facilitate clear communication among planning, production, quality, procurement, HSE, and maintenance units.
• Develop maintenance schedules on a weekly and monthly basis to minimize impact on production.
• Create, prioritize, and monitor work orders using ERP systems.
• Perform routine inspections and servicing of dissolvers, mixers, pumps, mills, compressors, and filling machines.
• Respond promptly to equipment failures and coordinate corrective measures to restore operations swiftly.
• Monitor and maintain adequate inventory levels of critical spare parts, avoiding excess stock.
• Oversee external service providers, including contractors, suppliers, and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).
• Maintain detailed maintenance documentation, logs, key performance indicators, and prepare regular reports.
• Participate in root cause analysis and projects aimed at improving reliability.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering is preferred; however, candidates with a High Diploma and strong relevant experience will also be considered.
• Between three and seven years of experience coordinating maintenance activities within manufacturing sectors, with a preference for paint, chemical, or process industries.
• Practical expertise with rotating and process equipment such as dissolvers, mixers, pumps, compressors, and filling systems.
• Familiarity with ERP software for maintenance management.
• Solid understanding of preventive and predictive maintenance methodologies.
• Knowledge of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards specific to chemical industry environments.
• Strong skills in planning, organization, communication, and coordination.
• Ability to apply analytical thinking and problem-solving techniques.
• Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical system components.
• Capability to work effectively under pressure while managing multiple priorities.
