Grocery Department Manager

Position Overview

The Grocery Department Manager is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service by overseeing associates and coordinating activities involving handheld terminals. This role ensures the salesfloor is well-stocked, organized, and customer needs are met within a safe and tidy environment. The manager leads the team by strategically planning and executing tasks according to workload and customer traffic patterns.

Key Duties

• Provide outstanding customer service by politely greeting customers, helping product promotion, locating merchandise, assisting with purchase decisions, addressing customer concerns, and escalating when needed.
• Assign, support, and ensure completion of Customer Availability Process functions including section work, capping bins, and stocking picks.
• Delegate and oversee price changes and feature set updates.
• Supervise and assist in completing modular setups in the designated area.
• Offer coverage and support on the salesfloor as required including recovery and zoning tasks.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and hazard-free workplace by following company policies, completing safety sweep logs, and securing displays and fixtures.
• Manage associate break schedules to guarantee proper coverage.
• Train, coach, and provide constructive feedback to department associates.

Compensation

The hourly wage for this position starts at 17.75 CAD.
