Grocery Clerk

About the Role

This full-time position as a Grocery Clerk is based at the Komoka Foodland store in Komoka, Ontario. Join a large family of over 128,000 employees who are passionate about delivering exceptional shopping experiences and quality food across Canada. This opportunity exists at a franchise-operated location licensed by Sobeys Capital Incorporated. Successful applicants will be employed by the franchisee, not Sobeys directly.

Key Responsibilities

• Adhere strictly to all food safety guidelines, operational procedures, health and safety regulations, corporate policies, and company initiatives.
• Manage ordering, receiving, and merchandising of stock according to inventory control protocols.
• Deliver excellent customer service aimed at fulfilling customer needs and building loyalty.
• Boost store sales by actively promoting featured items and products.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in both the back shop and retail floor areas to company standards.
• Prepare customer orders as required and handle department shrink processing.
• Assist in training junior team members and undertake additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Physical Requirements

• Capability to work effectively on one's own within a fast-moving environment.
• Strong oral and written communication skills above average.
• Physical ability to lift up to 20 pounds, stand for extended periods, and perform tasks such as bending, lifting, and reaching.
