About Wayflyer

Wayflyer offers innovative financing solutions tailored for small businesses to support their growth ambitions by delivering fast, technologically driven capital offers. With over $6 billion deployed to businesses worldwide, backed by leading banks like J.P. Morgan, the firm enables business founders to access funding efficiently and with confidence.

Role Overview

As a Graduate Software Engineer, you will engage deeply with the full product lifecycle, from data models and APIs to user-facing screens that support founders. You'll tackle the system holistically, developing expertise while helping shape and build impactful features.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead feature development from conception to deployment, collaborating with product and design teams to deliver meaningful outcomes.
  • Produce well-structured, test-covered code including unit and integration tests.
  • Develop new functionalities that boost revenue and user engagement, in addition to maintaining existing live systems.
  • Participate actively in code reviews and contribute to the creation and upkeep of technical documentation.
  • Engage in technical discussions proactively to elevate quality standards.

Growth Opportunities

This role offers pathways into technical leadership, product-centric roles, or specialization in systems and infrastructure, depending on your interests and curiosity.

Candidate Profile

You are an inquisitive and proactive developer who enjoys transforming complex ideas into practical, user-centric solutions. You communicate effectively, take initiative, and thrive in a fluid environment that encourages experimentation and learning. Respectful collaboration is as important to you as writing robust code.

Qualifications

  • A degree in computer science or equivalent practical experience.
  • Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
  • Familiarity with Git and contemporary development methodologies.
  • Proficiency in Python, React (or comparable frameworks), and relational database query languages such as SQL.
  • Bonus skills include experience with REST APIs, testing frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, cloud platforms, or containerization technologies.

Location and Working Conditions

The position is based in Dublin, with a hybrid work model requiring 3–4 days onsite initially, transitioning towards increased remote working flexibility over time.

Benefits

  • 25 days of annual leave plus public holidays.
  • Private healthcare coverage.
  • Life insurance and critical illness benefits.
  • Pension contribution plan.
  • Generous parental leave policy.
  • Equity participation options.
  • The possibility to work remotely from abroad for up to 60 days per year.
