About Wayflyer
Wayflyer provides fast and tailored financing solutions for small businesses, enabling them to access capital quickly to support their growth. Using advanced technology, Wayflyer can evaluate business prospects within minutes, deliver financing proposals aligned with their growth potential, and provide funds in as little as 24 hours. To date, the company has deployed over $6 billion to thousands of businesses globally, supported by top-tier banks such as J.P. Morgan. With offices in Dublin, London, New York, Charlotte, Berlin, and Sydney, Wayflyer fosters collaboration among motivated professionals worldwide.
Role Overview
This position involves managing the end-to-end sales process, from independently sourcing leads to closing deals with leading consumer brands. You will conduct thorough discovery calls utilizing the MEDDPICC sales framework, work closely with underwriting teams to expedite approvals without compromising standards, and negotiate mutually beneficial agreements. Although you will be supported by a dedicated Business Development Representative, you will be responsible for proactively building your own sales pipeline. Successful Account Executives typically exceed targets significantly, demonstrating persistence and strong partnership-driven sales approaches.
Career Development
Account Executives at Wayflyer generally progress either by specializing in one of the company's emerging verticals or by advancing into leadership roles within the expanding Australian market. The company prioritizes internal promotion, providing growth opportunities to high performers.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal applicant has prior experience managing complete sales cycles, not only meeting sales targets but understanding the factors behind successes and failures. They proactively generate their own pipeline without reliance on incoming leads, thrive amidst uncertainty, and actively drive deals forward. Strong resilience and the ability to engage skeptics constructively are crucial traits. Genuine passion for e-commerce and small business development is important for long-term commitment.
Qualifications and Experience
- Proven full sales cycle experience within SaaS or FinTech sectors.
- Background in outbound lead generation roles such as BDR or SDR preferred.
- Track record of consistently and significantly exceeding sales targets.
- Resilience demonstrated through overcoming challenges and improving performance.
- Familiarity with MEDDPICC methodology is advantageous.
- Experience working in startup or scale-up environments is desirable.
Location and Work Arrangement
The role is based in Sydney, Australia with a hybrid work policy requiring 3-4 days per week onsite.
Benefits and Perks
- 25 days of annual leave plus public holidays.
- Private health insurance, life insurance, and pension scheme.
- Opportunity to receive equity ownership in the company.
- Generous parental leave for all caregivers.
- Ability to work remotely from anywhere globally up to 60 days per year.
