About the Role

Join a top-tier high-technology facilities provider as their Global Lead Electrical Engineer on a permanent contract basis, fully remote in Ireland. This position involves leading electrical engineering strategies for global data centre projects for a market-leading company.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct the electrical engineering approach globally for data centre developments, serving as the chief expert in power systems.
• Create and assess electrical system designs, power architectures, and vital infrastructure layouts during the early planning stages.
• Play an active role in client interactions, technical workshops, proposal preparations, and complex electrical discussions with stakeholders.
• Guide engineering teams across regions, promoting best practices and unified engineering standards worldwide.

Key Requirements

• Substantial experience in electrical engineering specifically for data centres, including hyperscale, colocation, or mission-critical settings.
• Deep expertise in power system components such as 400kV substations, medium and low voltage distribution, UPS units, switchgear, and protection mechanisms.
• Proven skills in pre-construction phases, concept development, technical bidding, and feasibility analyses.
• Demonstrated capability to communicate effectively with clients and senior leaders, providing technical guidance on multiple projects.
