Metrology Technician

About the Role

We are seeking a Metrology Technician to join a global pharmaceutical company located near Westport, County Mayo, Ireland. This opportunity involves supporting a cutting-edge manufacturing facility focusing on life sciences. The company invests heavily in research and development to advance scientific innovation and deliver transformative medicines worldwide. The role is initially offered on a 12-month contract basis with potential for growth alongside the expanding global network.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide analytical assistance for the release of moulded component batches when required.
• Prepare and review comprehensive metrology reports to support batch release and engineering studies.
• Maintain and troubleshoot metrology and measurement systems to ensure optimal operational performance.
• Continuously implement improvements to metrology processes and systems to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
• Perform statistical evaluations on dimensional inspection data from moulding runs, particularly for new product launches and replacement tooling.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Possess at least an Ordinary Degree (Level 7) in Engineering or a related field.
• Demonstrate substantial experience as a Metrology Technician or in a similar role within combination products manufacturing or a strictly regulated industry.
