Role Overview
Step into a leadership position at the LEGO Group to guide global Credit Risk teams, collaborate with various business units, and utilize data-driven strategies to safeguard business expansion while innovating Credit Risk Management worldwide.
Key Duties
- Manage and nurture a diverse Credit Risk team spanning Mexico, the Czech Republic, and Singapore, promoting a high-performance, cooperative, and client-centered working environment.
- Take charge of the global Credit Risk strategy, overseeing risk management across the full spectrum of the LEGO Group's clientele, including LEGO Education.
- Collaborate tightly with Markets & Channels and LEGO Education sectors to align business expansion efforts with solid credit risk controls employing strong commercial and financial insights.
- Establish and adapt a comprehensive global credit strategy and risk appetite framework responsive to evolving market and economic changes.
- Drive the enhancement of Credit Risk capabilities by fostering innovation through partnerships with Digital, Process, and Information teams to deploy advanced analytics, predictive models, and AI-driven solutions.
- Work alongside Treasury and Accounts Receivable departments to maximize working capital, cash flow, and credit quality.
- Provide expert evaluation for complicated financial risks and credit conditions concerning key global customers as needed.
Qualifications and Experience
- Academic credentials in finance, accounting, economics, or related fields, or equivalent practical experience.
- Demonstrated Finance expertise with significant direct involvement in Credit Risk Management.
- Proven leadership of multi-cultural, geographically dispersed teams.
- Successful operation within global matrix and collaborative business frameworks.
- Robust commercial skills combined with advanced data analytics and proven strategic decision-making based on data insights.
- Experience in leading process improvement, automation, and optimization with Digital and Technology collaborators.
- Solid understanding of finance systems, credit risk tools, and data analytics technologies.
- Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, storytelling, and influence aptitude, especially with senior leadership.
- Ability to combine strategic vision with actionable hands-on leadership.
- Self-motivated, proactive, adept at ambiguity, and dedicated to delivering results.
Desirable Attributes
- Knowledge of finance technology platforms and credit management digital tools.
- Experience or awareness of predictive analytics, automation, or AI applications within financial operations.
