Job description
Job Overview
This role supports the company in meeting its daily production goals by working collaboratively within the team and adhering to quality and safety protocols.
Key Duties
- Achieve daily production objectives concerning output, waste, yield, efficiency, and start-up times as part of a team.
- Accurately document production-related data at designated intervals, including downtime, waste, processes, and non-conformity reports.
- Perform all required quality testing following established protocols and maintain complete traceability as per system standards.
- Manage all area-specific items such as production tools, probes, machine components in accordance with metal detection and foreign matter control procedures; replace and report any misplaced items.
- Ensure all tasks conform to food safety requirements.
- Keep workspaces and machinery clean, organized, safe, and hygienic.
- Operate equipment strictly according to training guidelines and approved standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Adhere to hygiene and safety standards and procedures.
- Contribute ideas and improvements to support evolving processes.
- Work within the company's defined quality standards to produce products meeting company and customer specifications with a 'get it right first time' approach.
- Report any maintenance problems promptly to the line manager.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain consistent material supply to minimize production stoppages.
- Demonstrate flexibility to meet changing demands, such as managing breakdown events to meet order deadlines.
- Participate in professional development activities to foster career advancement.
Required Skills and Experience
- Effective interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Strong understanding of food safety principles, including HACCP, plus health and safety regulations.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Minimum of six months experience in a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) environment.
- Capability to work cooperatively within a team setting.
- Adaptability and flexibility across role responsibilities.
- Awareness of business operations and commitment to achieving success.
- Proactive mindset with forward planning skills.
- Excellent written and spoken English proficiency.
- Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) may be considered based on relevant experience, training, or voluntary work.
