General Operative

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced General Operative to join our team in Cork, supporting various construction-related projects throughout the company. This position offers the chance to grow professionally as part of a collaborative work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the safe execution of project scopes, following supervisor guidance and adhering to company and project protocols.
• Maintain a strong safety mindset in all operations, prioritizing safe and efficient work practices.
• Support trade workers by providing assistance to help complete their tasks effectively.
• Prepare and organize the worksite according to supervisors' instructions.
• Contribute to site cleanliness and safety by handling general housekeeping duties.
• Follow assigned schedules communicated by supervisors.
• Retrieve necessary tools and materials to aid main activities, working under trade personnel supervision.
• Address minor issues within the craft assistant's competence that may obstruct task completion.
• Proactively seek additional assignments when available.
• Comply with all company policies, working standards, and procedures.
• Participate actively in Toolbox Talks and emergency response drills.

Qualifications and Experience

• A full clean driver's license is mandatory.
• Manual Handling experience is a plus; training can be provided if necessary.
• Demonstrate a strong work ethic and motivation to work independently and collaboratively.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
• Good time management skills to achieve targets.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service abilities.
• Integrity along with respect for confidentiality and privacy.
