About the Role

GMC Utilities Group is seeking a dedicated Recruiter to join their collaborative HR and Recruitment team in Dublin. This office-based position involves overseeing the full recruitment cycle, focusing on sourcing skilled candidates to support the company’s growth within the construction, civil engineering, and utilities sectors across Ireland.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment processes for assigned roles, from vacancy briefing through to offer and onboarding.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to clarify recruitment needs and priorities.
  • Utilize various sourcing strategies including job boards, LinkedIn, referrals, networking, and direct outreach to attract qualified candidates.
  • Screen applicants, conduct initial interviews, and coordinate interview arrangements.
  • Develop and sustain talent pipelines specifically for engineering, operational, and support positions.
  • Maintain strong partnerships with external recruitment agencies, ensuring high standards in candidate submissions and timely feedback.
  • Monitor agency performance and ensure compliance with GMC’s recruitment policies.
  • Ensure an outstanding candidate experience throughout the hiring process.
  • Contribute to employer branding efforts, recruitment marketing campaigns, and participation in career events.
  • Keep accurate recruitment records updated within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Assist in onboarding activities to facilitate smooth integration of new hires.
  • Ensure all recruitment activities comply with company policies and Irish employment laws.

Candidate Requirements

  • At least one year of recruitment experience in the Irish construction, civil engineering, or utilities sectors.
  • Background in a recruitment agency, preferably specialising in construction or civil engineering recruitment.
  • Solid knowledge of the Irish construction recruitment landscape.
  • Proven expertise in managing the entire recruitment lifecycle and handling multiple vacancies.
  • Ability to source passive candidates and build effective talent pipelines.
  • Strong communication skills and effective management of stakeholder relationships.
  • Proficiency with LinkedIn Recruiter and Applicant Tracking Systems such as Bullhorn.
  • Highly organized with the capacity to manage various priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Competent IT skills, including Microsoft Office proficiency.
  • Possession of a full driving license is advantageous.
