Position Overview
The General Manager is entrusted with overseeing the profitability and operational standards of a McDonald's restaurant. This role demands dedication to maintaining McDonald's high standards of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness, which are essential to its reputation and success.
Key Responsibilities
The General Manager collaborates closely with leadership to establish the restaurant's objectives and devise actionable strategies to accomplish these goals. Leading a team of Department Managers, the General Manager supports them in defining departmental targets, monitoring progress, and offering coaching to enhance their performance. Effective department management directly boosts overall restaurant success. This role may also include responsibility for recruiting and nurturing Department and Shift Managers to ensure a capable leadership team for the future.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a General Manager, particularly in managing high-volume establishments.
- Background in quick service restaurants is highly preferred; hospitality or retail experience is also relevant.
- Applicants must be 18 years or older to qualify for managerial positions in corporate-owned McDonald's restaurants.
