Shift Manager

About the Role

This position is with an independently owned McDonald's franchise located in Mahwah, NJ, and not directly employed by McDonald's USA. The franchisee operates the restaurant independently, managing all employment matters such as hiring and scheduling.

As a Shift Manager, you will lead shifts to deliver fast, accurate, and friendly customer experiences while ensuring high standards of quality, service, and cleanliness. You will oversee team members and other managers, plan shifts, monitor performance, enforce safety and security protocols, and strive to meet operational goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure food safety adherence throughout the shift
• Facilitate effective internal communication among staff
• Manage inventory and related supply matters
• Oversee daily maintenance and cleanliness standards
• Lead and manage the crew efficiently
• Ensure the production of quality food items
• Provide exceptional customer service continuously
• Maintain safety and security within the restaurant environment
• Manage employee scheduling
• Conduct training for staff members

Qualification Requirements

Preferred candidates will have previous leadership experience, particularly in restaurants, retail, or hospitality sectors. Candidates should be positive, flexible team players who thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy working collaboratively. Applicants must be at least 18 years old to qualify for a managerial position.
