About the Role
This position is with an independently owned and operated McDonald's franchise in Newbern, TN, not McDonald's USA. The franchisee is your direct employer responsible for all employment matters including hiring, discipline, and scheduling. McDonald's USA does not participate in employment decisions and does not receive your application.
A Shift Manager leads shifts ensuring customers receive prompt, accurate, and friendly service while maintaining high standards of quality, cleanliness, and safety. This role involves leading crew members and fellow managers, monitoring shift performance, and facilitating smooth shift transitions.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure food safety compliance.
- Manage internal communication effectively.
- Oversee inventory management.
- Maintain daily cleanliness and equipment maintenance.
- Lead and manage crew performance and development.
- Monitor quality food production.
- Deliver exceptional customer service.
- Ensure safety and security protocols are followed.
- Assist with scheduling staff for shifts.
- Conduct training sessions for employees.
Requirements
- Preferred prior leadership experience, particularly in restaurant, retail, or hospitality settings.
- Positive attitude and team-player mindset.
- Flexible availability for varying shift schedules.
- Passion for working in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
