Company Clarification
This opening is at a restaurant operated by a franchisee independently from McDonald's USA. The franchisee holds the license for McDonald's branding and products but is a separate legal entity responsible for all employment decisions, including hiring, firing, scheduling, and discipline. McDonald's USA is not involved in these aspects and will not have access to employment applications or decisions.
About the Role
The General Manager role involves managing a profitable restaurant that meets McDonald's established standards for quality, service, and cleanliness. This significant leadership position requires setting restaurant goals collaboratively with leadership and developing plans to achieve those targets.
This role includes supervising Department Managers who are responsible for various restaurant operations. The General Manager supports these managers by guiding goal-setting, monitoring performance, and providing coaching to enhance departmental success, which in turn drives overall restaurant improvement.
Recruiting and developing Department and Shift Managers to ensure the team is well-equipped to lead in the future is also a key responsibility.
Candidate Profile
Ideal applicants should have prior experience as a General Manager in high-volume locations, with strong preference for backgrounds in quick service restaurants, hospitality, or retail industries.
Applicants must be at least 18 years old to qualify for managerial positions in corporate-owned McDonald's restaurants.
