Position Details
We invite applications for a General Manager to steer the Peace Haven site in Norwood, Launceston, Tasmania. This pivotal leadership role demands overseeing the home's operations to ensure regulatory compliance, safe and person-centred care, clinical governance, workforce management, fiscal health, and exceptional resident experiences.
Key Duties
- Manage day-to-day operations prioritizing quality, compliance, and individualized care.
- Cultivate a culture of clinical excellence, continual improvement, and positive outcomes.
- Lead, mentor, and develop staff teams to enhance performance and workplace morale.
- Ensure adherence to Aged Care Quality Standards and all relevant legislative and policy frameworks.
- Govern quality assurance, risk management, audits, incident management, and documentation accuracy.
- Oversee occupancy levels, budgeting, financial monitoring, workforce planning, rostering, and skills development.
- Establish robust connections with residents, families, healthcare staff, and community stakeholders.
- Promote occupational health and safety to maintain a safe, supportive, and values-led environment.
- Engage in continuous professional development to uphold best practices and support improvement initiatives.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will be a confident, value-centered leader with extensive experience in residential aged care management. They will bring a balanced expertise in clinical knowledge and operational leadership, demonstrated by a history of managing teams effectively, enhancing service quality, and ensuring compliance to governance standards.
Essential qualities include excellent communication, financial acumen, stakeholder engagement capabilities, and a passionate commitment to enhancing the well-being of elderly residents.
Mandatory Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in Nursing preferred.
- Valid registration with AHPRA.
- Current NDIS Worker Screening clearance or eligibility to acquire it.
