About the Role
IHG Hotels & Resorts is seeking an experienced General Manager to oversee InterContinental Dubai Marina, a distinguished luxury hotel situated in the vibrant Dubai Marina area. This leadership role involves guiding an already successful hotel through its next phase of development, including renovations, enhancing the guest experience, and amplifying its position within Dubai’s competitive luxury hospitality market.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct all aspects of strategy, daily operations, and performance of the hotel.
- Ensure a luxurious, personalized, and consistent guest experience.
- Strengthen the hotel's standing in the luxury segment of the Dubai market.
- Drive financial growth focusing on rooms, residences, and food & beverage revenue.
- Lead and motivate a skilled leadership team across hotel departments.
- Manage the hotel’s upcoming renovation and repositioning phases effectively.
- Establish and maintain strong partnerships with owners, regional management, and stakeholders.
- Uphold exceptional service standards and continuously elevate quality.
- Maintain high colleague engagement, operational excellence, and adherence to brand standards.
- Serve as a confident and credible representative of both IHG and InterContinental brands.
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience as a General Manager within luxury hotel environments.
- Strong commercial acumen with demonstrated success in boosting revenue, average daily rate (ADR), and profitability.
- A deep passion for luxury hospitality and delivering memorable guest services.
- Ability to lead established teams effectively with clarity and empathy.
- Experience collaborating with owners, senior executives, and regional leaders.
- International luxury hotel general management experience required; Middle East region experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Competence in managing luxury hotels with rooms, F&B, and residential components.
- Familiarity with Forbes standards or comparable luxury service frameworks is a significant plus.
- Relationship-focused leadership style, fostering trust swiftly.
- Composed, proactive, and adaptable leadership suited for a dynamic market.
