Role Overview
The General Manager has the crucial responsibility of ensuring the restaurant operates profitably while consistently meeting McDonald's strict standards for Quality, Service, and Cleanliness. This leadership position involves collaborating closely with higher management to define restaurant objectives and developing effective plans to achieve these targets.
Team Leadership
The General Manager oversees a team of Department Managers, each accountable for specific restaurant areas. This involves setting expectations for Department Managers, monitoring their progress, and offering coaching and guidance to enhance departmental results, thereby improving overall restaurant performance.
Talent Development
Another key responsibility includes recruiting and nurturing Department and Shift Managers to build a capable leadership team for the restaurant's future success.
Candidate Profile
Ideal applicants should possess previous experience as a General Manager in high-volume establishments. Experience within quick service restaurants is highly preferred, although backgrounds in hospitality or retail are also considered valuable. Candidates must be at least 18 years old to qualify for a managerial role in corporate-owned restaurants.
