Job Overview
This position is for a restaurant operated by an independent franchisee licensed to use McDonald's branding and products; however, the franchisee is solely responsible for all employment-related decisions and actions. Employment matters such as hiring, discipline, supervision, staffing, and scheduling are handled exclusively by the franchisee, not McDonald's USA.
About the Role
The General Manager leads the overall operations of a profitable restaurant, ensuring strict adherence to McDonald’s high standards for Quality, Service, and Cleanliness. This leadership role involves defining the restaurant’s objectives alongside management and creating strategies to accomplish those goals.
The General Manager supervises a team of Department Managers, guiding them to set targets, monitoring performance, and providing coaching to enhance departmental function, which in turn boosts restaurant performance. Recruiting and developing Department and Shift Managers to build a future-ready leadership team is also a critical responsibility.
Candidate Profile
Strong candidates possess prior experience as a General Manager in high-volume settings. Backgrounds in quick service restaurants, hospitality, or retail are highly preferred. Candidates must be at least 18 years old to qualify for managerial positions in corporate-owned establishments.
