General Manager Factory

Job Overview

We are looking for a seasoned General Manager to lead and manage all operational facets of a plastic manufacturing plant specializing in disposable items such as cups, plates, containers, forks, and spoons. The ideal candidate will steer factory performance to achieve high production efficiency, superior product quality, effective cost control, and continuous operational enhancements.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct overall factory operations and oversee manufacturing activities.
• Formulate and execute operational strategies that support business goals.
• Track production efficiency, capacity usage, and productivity metrics.
• Coordinate between departments including Production, Maintenance, Quality, Warehouse, and Supply Chain to ensure smooth operations.
• Streamline manufacturing techniques to boost productivity while minimizing waste and expenses.
• Maintain consistent product quality, adhering to standards and customer expectations.
• Supervise resources, raw material usage, inventory status, and operational costs.
• Set, evaluate, and manage operational KPIs and targets.
• Assess production results and deploy corrective measures as needed.
• Pioneer continuous improvement efforts within manufacturing processes.
• Build and lead effective operational teams.
• Ensure adherence to organizational policies, quality benchmarks, and safety regulations.
• Work closely with Finance, Sales, Procurement, and Supply Chain units to enhance business outcomes.
• Deliver periodic reports and strategic recommendations to senior leadership on factory performance and potential enhancements.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum 15 years of experience in manufacturing operations.
• Extensive background in plastic manufacturing.
• Specific experience with disposable plastic products like cups, plates, containers, and cutlery.
• Prior leadership role in plant or factory operations.
• Strong expertise in production management, manufacturing processes, quality assurance, maintenance, and cost management.
• Documented success in boosting productivity and operational efficiency.
• Excellent leadership, planning, analytical, and problem-resolution skills.
• Capability to handle multiple functions and prioritize operational challenges effectively.
