About the Role

This management opportunity is with a restaurant franchised and independently owned, licensed to use McDonald’s branding and products. Importantly, the franchisee operates as a distinct business responsible solely for all employment-related matters, including hiring and supervision. McDonald's USA is not involved in or responsible for these activities.

Position Overview

The General Manager is entrusted with leading the restaurant to profitability by maintaining McDonald’s stringent standards for Quality, Service, and Cleanliness. This key leadership role involves collaborating with supervisors to establish restaurant goals and devising strategies to achieve them.

You will manage a team of Department Managers, guiding them to set individual objectives, monitor progress, and receive coaching to enhance their departments. By strengthening these teams, the overall restaurant performance improves. Additionally, you may oversee the hiring and development of Department and Shift Managers to build a strong leadership pipeline.

Qualifications

• Minimum age of 18 years to qualify for management roles.
• Legal U.S. citizenship is required.
• California Manager Food Handler Card must be held; training is provided at orientation.
• Preferred: High School Diploma (HSD) or General Educational Development (GED) credential.
• At least one year of leadership experience motivating or developing others, or equivalent military service.
• A commitment to workplace safety and excellence.
• Strong customer service orientation and effective communication skills.
• Ability to anticipate customer needs, provide solutions, and make prompt decisions in a fast-paced setting.
• Prior experience managing high-volume locations in quick service restaurants is highly desirable. Background in hospitality or retail is also beneficial.

• Starting annual pay range: $83,200 to $98,200.
