General Labourer (Coating Operator)

Job Overview

The role involves internal coating of used tubular materials and associated products. This physically demanding position includes activities such as cleaning, abrasive blasting, applying coatings on pipes, and operating overhead cranes along with related machinery and equipment.

Primary Responsibilities

• Handling pipes carefully during operations
• Applying thread spray coatings effectively
• Preparing and mixing coating materials as required for the system
• Operating overhead cranes to move materials safely
• Setting up, adjusting, and handling equipment operation
• Following fundamental safety regulations strictly
• Reporting any accidents, incidents, near misses, or potential hazards at the workplace
• Maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of the work area
• Completing assigned tasks safely under supervision
• Ensuring personal and colleagues' safety on site
• Supervising trainees to comply with safety work standards
• Correcting unsafe work behaviors demonstrated by trainees
• Stopping assigned work activities if unsafe conditions are noticed

Required Qualifications

• Completion of high school education with the ability to read, write, and communicate in basic English necessary to perform job tasks
• Good communication skills along with a strong dedication to customer service
• Possession of Standard First Aid and H2S Alive certification is desirable
