Role Overview

The role involves supporting food service operations by managing food storage, setup, and service while adhering to safety and quality standards. Responsibilities include following proper food handling procedures, maintaining cleanliness, assisting customers, and ensuring compliance with sanitation rules.

Key Responsibilities

• Store food items correctly using wrapping, dating, and rotation protocols to maintain freshness and safety.
• Prepare daily display and purchase items as required for service.
• Carry out routine cleaning tasks and dispose of waste to designated areas.
• Distribute necessary supplies, utensils, and portable equipment across service areas.
• Follow approved recipes and production standards to maintain quality, correct serving temperatures, and portion control; inform cooks about any temperature inconsistencies.
• Deliver customer service in a courteous and efficient manner, adhering to established service procedures.
• Address customer concerns and communicate important information to supervisors as needed.
• Ensure all sanitation and safety protocols are followed rigorously.
• Provide assistance across retail areas, including cashier duties and serving on the line.

Candidate Qualifications

• FoodSafe Level 1 certification is advantageous.
• Experience with cash register operations is a plus.
• Strong skills in time management and organization to handle busy workloads effectively.
• Ability to work independently and cooperatively within team environments.
• Good command of English language both spoken and written, with capability to understand and follow instructions.
• Previous experience in food service settings such as healthcare, hotels, restaurants, or fast food establishments is beneficial.
• Physical fitness sufficient to perform job duties.

Compensation and Benefits
