General Assistant

About the Role

Pepkor Lifestyle seeks a dynamic and dependable General Assistant to become a vital member of our retail store team. This role focuses on supporting daily operations through maintaining cleanliness, organizing the sales floor, ensuring compliance with standards, and delivering remarkable customer experiences.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain all areas of the store, including kitchen and toilets, adhering strictly to OHASA cleanliness standards.
• Keep aisles tidy, ensure safety of displays, and support effective stock management by unpacking shipments, shelving items, conducting inventory counts, placing promotional materials, and reporting any stock discrepancies.
• Provide outstanding customer service, help resolve customer issues amicably, and consistently align with company service protocols.
• Manage workload effectively, cultivate positive relationships within the team, and pursue ongoing personal skill enhancement.

Qualifications and Experience

• Possess a Grade 12 Certificate (NQF Level 4).
• Bring at least one year of experience working as a general worker.
• Familiarity with OHASA regulations, customer service best practices in retail, and internal store policies is necessary.
• Demonstrate strong communication abilities, excellent time management, multitasking talent, keen attention to detail, interpersonal aptitude, and problem-solving skills.
