General Assistant

Introduction

Pepkor Lifestyle is seeking a dependable and energetic General Assistant to support our retail team. This role involves ensuring the store remains clean and compliant with safety standards, managing stock and displays, providing outstanding customer service, and collaborating effectively with team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, restrooms, and store areas according to OHASA standards, ensuring aisles are tidy and displays are safe.
• Unpack incoming deliveries, stock shelves, perform stock counts, place promotional posters, apply suite treatments, and report any stock loss or damage.
• Provide exceptional customer service, assist in resolving customer disputes, and strive to surpass customer expectations following the service code.
• Organize and prioritize daily tasks, foster positive relationships within the workplace, and actively engage in personal skill growth and development.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Completed Grade 12 certificate (NQF Level 4).
• At least one year of experience working as a general worker.
• Familiarity with OHASA legislation, retail customer service best practices, and store policies.
• Strong skills in communication, time management, multitasking, attention to detail, interpersonal relations, and problem-solving.
