About the Role
This full-time position requires preparing high-quality hot and cold deli items while ensuring that customer satisfaction remains the foremost priority. The successful candidate will demonstrate a passion for food and engage shoppers by sharing knowledge and recommendations.
Key Responsibilities
- Embody Centra's core values: pride, energy, creativity, and community focus.
- Prepare a variety of customer orders in fresh food sections including assembling sandwiches, rolls, serving hot dishes, and slicing meats using standardized portion controls.
- Cook, prepare, and present deli foods consistently throughout the day to maintain freshness and appeal.
- Maintain impeccable presentation standards for counter displays across all fresh food areas during operational hours.
- Provide informed and enthusiastic customer service by sharing culinary tips, recipes, and advice.
- Handle customer inquiries professionally and efficiently in alignment with store policies.
Candidate Profile
- HACCP certification is considered advantageous but is not mandatory.
- Strong communication skills are essential.
- Previous experience in customer service will be beneficial.
- Capability to work collaboratively within a team in a fast-paced, multitasking environment.
- Flexible availability including weekends, weekdays, and optionally night shifts on Saturdays.
